Expressing compassion, love, care, encouragement and support are the hallmarks of Christian believers. It is true that we love others because Christ loves us.

Care Ministry is a way of helping to organize people in meeting the needs of our community. You'll find the various expressions of the Care Ministry listed below.  To access any of them, or if you want to make yourself available as a volunteer for one or more, contact the PFBC church offices.

Here are a few ways that the Care Ministry and its valuable volunteers assist those in need:

* The Clothes Closet at our church building offers free, good, used clothing for the entire family and is open during office hours.

* The Food Closet at our church office offers free food in crisis situations to individuals in our church and community.

* The Visitation Team regularly encourages all of our church shut-ins and seniors with cards, phone calls and visits.

* Hospital Visitations are made when the office has been notified of a need.

* The Prison Ministry Team visits the Nanaimo Correctional Center once a month to lead chapel services. Through singing, devotionals, and visiting with the men over coffee and goodies, they are able to show Jesus’ love.

* Prayer Requests can be communicated with our church family on our church 'prayer chain' in strict confidence through the church office.
